Statement of Need
The Internal Medicine Review and Update course is designed to address topics of growing interest or concern in the various subspecialties of Internal Medicine. Course faculty, all actively engaged in patient care, will present recent advances in research, diagnosis and treatment strategies.
Audience
This conference would be ideal for internists, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses and other health professionals interested in refreshing their knowledge of Internal Medicine.
Educational Objectives
Following this conference, participants should be able to:
- Review and apply updated recommendations on clinically relevant topics in primary care and hospital care.
- List new agents available for the treatment of common medical problems in the clinic and hospital settings.
- Outline the clinical implications of recent research in selected areas of Internal Medicine.
- Discuss results of case studies in several of the subspecialties of Internal Medicine.
- Recognize key issues in emerging infections.

- AMA Category 1 credits: 22.0
- American Academy of Family Physicians Prescribed credits: 21.75
- American Academy of Physician Assistants: Accepts AMA Category 1 credit
- A Statement of Attendance will be provided to other health care
professionals for requesting credit from their appropriate accrediting
organizations or state boards.

In the event you need to cancel your registration, the registration fee, less a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded if you notify us by 4:30 p.m. Central Time on October 28, 2009. No refunds will be made after this date.
Pre-Registration Deadline
Pre-registration for this conference ends at 4:30 p.m. Central Time on November 9, 2009. After this time we will take registrations on-site.
