Registration Deadline

Online registration will be extended through June 1, 2010. After June 1, the online registration site will still be available; however, any attendees registered after this time will not have their name on the list of registrants included in the conference packet. After June 11, only on-site registration will be accepted at the hotel.

Statement of Need

This conference is designed to provide practice-based researchers with the knowledge and skills to build the research capacity of Practice-Based Research Networks. The conference provides training in research methods, best practices and organizational issues in practice based research and network management. Plenary presentations, workshops, and panel and oral presentations are included to meet the educational needs of both the experienced and new practice-based researcher.

Audience

This conference would be ideal for all interested in practice-based research including researchers, clinicians and PBRN staff. There are multiple opportunities for collaboration and networking among attendees.

Educational Objectives

Following this conference, participants should be able to:

  • Advance the field of practice-based research methodology
  • Disseminate findings and examine lessons learned through PBRN research
  • Share best practices for operating and managing PBRNs

The University of Minnesota is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Minnesota designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurse practitioners, nurses, and other health care professionals who participate in this CME activity may submit their Statements of Attendance to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. Facility Fee

Online registration will open March 1 and close on May 28. A $40 facility fee will be collected. This fee provides for unlimited wireless access, valet parking, business center access, all breaks/refreshments, poster reception and networking lunch on Thursday. Once online registration closes, check the Conference website (www.pbrn.ahrq.gov) regarding late registration options. The conference capacity is 250 registrants.
