Construction Update

On-campus construction of the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit line has begun. Construction currently affects Washington Avenue and its surrounding streets, which presents challenges for those commuting to the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis campus. Please allow extra time to travel to your course and to find parking. The latest construction updates are available on the Central Corridor Light Rail website.


Top surgeons from across the United States will participate in lectures, moderate question-and-answer sessions and join in panel discussions on Breast, Endocrine, and Cancer Surgery. Films of specific surgical procedures will be shown during the lunch break.

The course is presented under the direction of John S. Najarian, M.D., Regents' Professor Emeritus, Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School.


This conference is ideal for surgeons and other health care professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of breast, endocrine and other cancer abnormalities.

Educational Objectives

Following this conference, participants should be able to:

  • Identify current guidelines in order to provide optimal care to women with breast cancer
  • Define management strategies for women at high risk to develop breast cancer
  • Identify management strategies for common malignancies such as melanoma, testicular cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, and ovarian cancer
